Shohei Ohtani, nicknamed "Shotime", made his MLB debut in 2018 and quickly became a sensation because of his ability to excel as both a pitcher and a hitter. He won the American League (AL) Rookie of the Year Award. In 2024, Shohei Ohtani became the first player in Major League Baseball history to record 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in one season.
