Vanliga frågor och information
Kamiko was founded and is run by two brother, Tom and Carl-Ludwig, who has always had a passion and interest for Asian pop-culture.
The idea to start Kamiko came after a collaboration with a supplier of Japanese anime figures based in the Netherlands. By the end of 2022 Kamiko received the first delivery of 170 figures - many figures of which are very rare in the European Marketplace.
The market for anime figures felt saturated so we wanted to offer something more: a hub where you can order all manner of things from anime figures, merchandise, to even puzzles or Warhammer. While we do not yet have the ability to stock all the items we wish, as our customerbase grows so does our stock! So the more support we get, the more interesting products we can stock! We want to be the website for all your needs, under one roof, with just one shipment to worry about.

How does Pre-orders with Kamiko work?
Due to delays from our suppliers, there might occur certain delay in our orders being delivered to customers. Items that say 2 weeks delivery is just an estimate that we reserve may take longer. We place the order, after we receive it in our warehouse we undergo an inspection for quality control, and only then can we send the product to you. If we notice that the delay is significant, we will keep you updated during the process and when you can expect to receive your product.
We have a wide range of upcoming products, many in very limited edition. When you find the product you are interested in pre-ordering, we will immediately reserve the product for you. When ordering, you will have the option for full or partial payment. The remaining sum if you select partial payment is due before we deliver the product – we will contact you regarding this for a smooth experience.
When we receive the item into our store and have undergone our inspection, we will contact you again with an update on delivery.
Unfortunately, it can happen that these products when ordered are already sold out before we have time to reserve with our customers. If this occurs we will of course issue a full refund, and remove the product from the website. The best strategy is to reserve a pre-order as quickly as possible - then the faster we can make an order to our supplier, the greater the certainty that the product will not be sold out. If this occurs, we will cancel the purchase and issue a full refund.
Waiting times
Many products are launched well in advance, with release and delivery in some cases occurring as late as a year later. As a seller in Europe, the goods are sometimes available approximately 2-3 months after it is released in Japan, this means that some goods can be sold out very quickly!
If the delivery estimates change after your order, we will contact you with an update, and if you wish to cancel your order, you may contact us of this so that we can investigate whether we can cancel the delivery.
Return policies
When buying a pre-order, the same consumer laws apply as for regular purchases: you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from receiving the item, and when returning an unopened and undamaged package, a refund is made for the purchase. If the item is opened or damaged upon return, we reserve the right not to issue a full refund. If the purchase is canceled before delivery, we charge an order fee of 20% of the full price of the product. This is to cover costs that arise for us when purchasing pre-orders.
We are not responsible for shipping and return shipping.
Shipping and multiple orders
An order where pre-order and stock items are mixed, we will contact you on shipping preferences. We prefer to ship our products together, which means we will not make delivery until all items in the order are in stock. This also applies to multiple pre-orders.
The best thing for both parties to avoid problems is to make separate purchases per pre-order or to differentiate between pre-order and stock items.
The cost for shipping will be available in the check-out.
Each product will be clearly labeled if it is in stock or pre-order.
Some of the products we offer in our range are only produced in limited quantities! In order for us to guarantee your order we need to place an order with our distributors prior to a set date - that way they can made reservations with the producer, and order sufficient products to meet demand!
So think of it like a chain:
Producer - Distributor - Store - Customer
And this is what we call allocation! It is simply a reservation of your product, and we set certain dates we need your pre-order to ensure the producer can produce enough to meet demand.
What if I pre-order after the set date?
Most of the time we can still actually place an order for your product, but it might be placed in whats called "Backorder". This means that your product is reserved for the next production run! The drawback of this is of course that backorders often have very uncertain dates, so to ensure there is no dissapointment make sure to keep an eye on the pre-order deadline!
Products not in stock
We are an official Warhammer stockist, but unfortunately we do not have the facilities right now to stock their entire range.
But it will be available to order!
The expected delivery time for Warhammer orders is 3-weeks. The pay-off for our customers however is that we remain cheaper than the Warhammer official website! Well worth the wait!
Pre-order
As a stockist we can reserve new releases prior to their public launch! This means that ordering through us you get both a better price than the official website and you will not have to worry about being stuck in queue!
We will ship the item as soon as they arrive to our store, ensuring you receive your products by launch-date.
**Does this mean poor quality or that my product is of bad quality?**
Absolutely not!
Many big brands today manufacture their products in China, and many of these products have even been used to climb Mount Everest! Even high-quality textiles, such as Fjällräven, which one might associate with Swedish production, are made in countries like China and Vietnam.
"Made in China" should not discourage you at all. The difference between products from China lies in the quality control conducted on the produced item. Figures sold from Japan go through a completely different quality control process than those released in China at a much cheaper price. Often what you're paying for is this very quality control, ensuring that the product is of the best possible quality.
Many figures that are copies often have poor fitting issues, such as feet not fitting properly on the base. Some parts can also be hard to attach without slightly bending arms or other pieces.
Kamiko, during a previous inspection, compared an authentic figure to a copy from China from the Fate/Saber series. The authentic figure fit perfectly on the base it came with, and the accompanying sword smoothly went through both clenched hands holding it. The copy, however, lacked in these areas—you had to bend the parts a bit, and the sword appeared bent since the hands didn’t fit perfectly.
You can quickly identify if it’s authentic by checking the box. Authentic products always come with a factory box of the highest quality. The manufacturer's name is always displayed on these boxes, usually on the front but also on the back. Many copies come without a box and lack the manufacturer’s logos. Another way to check the box is to see if the text is in Japanese or Chinese. On authentic products, the text is in Japanese, while many copies have their text in Chinese.
It’s worth mentioning that you shouldn't judge people who buy copies—the choice is entirely up to you! Collecting figures can be an expensive hobby, and we wish for everyone to be able to participate. We’ve all started somewhere, and we are always excited about the growing interest in collecting genuine items from Japan! While we may not help you find cheaper copies, we are more than happy to help you identify such products. Upon request, we can also order an authentic product for you if it’s available.
The benefit of buying genuine products is that you support the producers behind our favorite series! The more support we can give to our favorite series, the greater the chance we’ll see more seasons, more series, or new releases. Hopefully, we can offer you the best products at the best price so we can all contribute to a growing market for anime!
